Shrimp Boat on Shem Creek by award-winning artist Lowry Coe.Shem Creek is located in Mount Pleasant, across the Cooper River from Charleston, and was the home to a large fleet of shrimp trawlers. Recently their numbers have dwindled as restaurants and bars replace the shrimpers' space on the docks.
