In 2005 budding artist and retired Film Writer/Producer Lowry Coe and son-in-law, Allyn Graham created Lowcountry Sketches. Allyn combined his business acumen with Lowry's talent for drawing, and Lowcountry Sketches was born. The business originally focused on Lowry's pen and ink sketches of the South Carolina Lowcountry; Allyn added historic map reproductions and nautical charts, many enhanced with Lowry's artwork, to bring Lowcountry Sketches to where it is today.
